What is pressotherapy?

This is an air-powered compression massage. The vest chambers inflate and deflate according to the selected programme. At Expelos, we use the 4FIZJO MED C8 device and an eight-chamber C8 vest designed for the upper body.

Pressotherapy may support lymph flow and reduce a feeling of swelling in suitable clients. It is not manual massage or a weight-loss treatment. Results and comfort depend on individual circumstances.

What happens during your visit?

1. A discussion of your health, expectations and any contraindications.
2. Fitting the vest and finding a comfortable position.
3. Staff select the programme, duration and compression level in accordance with the device instructions.
4. Pneumatic massage with comfort checks during your visit.

When is a consultation needed?

Suitability is assessed before treatment. Contraindications include suspected or diagnosed thrombosis, decompensated heart failure, acute inflammation, and open or infected wounds in the treatment area. This is not a complete list — we follow the instructions for the specific device.

For unexplained swelling, chronic conditions, pregnancy or after surgery, consult a doctor about suitability first. A studio treatment does not replace diagnosis or treatment of lymphoedema.
